An Inauspicious Beginning? Or: Discernment in a complex world in which there are many moral pitfalls.

I chose this layout from among the small handful offered by Blogger. For its color scheme, its creator offered three choices, entitled "Son of.." ,"Mr...." and "Ms...."

Of course, "Ms." was predominately pink.

So: If I choose the "Ms." template, am I giving assent to this dastardly gender-assignment to the color pink? Should I not just go with something else, in order to reject the template-designer's small-minded biases? If there is a balance sheet, can I give points for his use of the feminist-friendly ms.?

Well, I have decided that I am going with the "Son-of..." and the neutral color that everybody picks for your baby clothes when you have gone against convention and are waiting to find out the sex.

I henceforth re-christen this template color scheme as "unknown baby sex safe" and remind you also to Think Before You Pink.
